  Officer Eileen Cloak

Lifting the small plastic baggy to my face, I held one nostril and inhaled some of the contents deeply. Closing my eyes, I tilted my head back and waited for the effect to take over. What I expected was numbness and a quick blur, was only a mere tingle.

“This shit is garbage,” I fussed looking at the coke that was given to me from Yvette. It had to have been the trash Pitt was moving.

Closing up the baggy, I tossed it to the side of me and focused back on the task at hand. While on the clock, I sat camped out of a run-down motel room waiting for Pitt and this girl to leave out, so I can follow through with this plan to get rid of him. Since the girl was with him she was just collateral damage. Ever since Pitt and the woman returned to the motel they haven’t left back out, and I was growing tired of sitting there watching a door when I needed rest for the twelve-hour shift, I had to pull the next day.

Trevor paid me well, but the least I could do was get high and with this crap they’ve given me I didn’t feel a thing.

My phone buzzed in the console startling me. I picked it up and saw it was a message from impatient ass Trevor.

  Done?

This was the fifth time he text me to ask me that shit, when I made it clear I was going to let him know when the task was complete. Smacking my lips, I tossed the phone back in my cup holder and glanced at the door. I did a double take when I saw someone holding a gun creeping to the room.

A smile crept on my face knowing I didn’t have to contribute to Trevor’s crazy ass plan. Turns out Pitt was on someone else’s radar as well.

Pulling on the door handle of my car, I watched the person insert the key to the motel and looked around before going inside of the door. By now my heart was thumping in my chest as I tried to close my door quietly but ended up slamming it shut and rushing to the stairs two at a time to find out who was in their room.

Just as I got to the door, the person dressed in all black ran into me. I shoved them back into the room, shutting the door behind me with my foot and pointed my police issued gun their way. From the corner of my eye I noticed Pitt and the young lady I identified as Trina were slumped on the bed with blood leaking out of the wound from their chest.

I expected the shooter to kill me, but they quickly snatched their mask off of their face and stared at me.

“Holy shit! Does Trevor know you’re here?”

Yvette’s face contorted into a grim expression as she shook her head. “No, but we need to leave or we both will be going to jail for two bodies.”

Pushing past me and putting her mask back over her head, she left out of the room, snatching the door open. I quickly followed behind her until we got to the bottom of the stairs and pulled her to the corner where a soda machine was located.

“Have you lost your fucking mind? You’re moving way too sloppy!”

“Am I? I swear what I just did was exactly what you were going to do. You should be thanking me right now because you just made money and haven’t done shit,” she hissed shooting me a venomous looked.

“Oh yeah, since you thought everything through what about the fucking tapes to the motel? You don’t think they have us on camera.”

She smiled. “Do you think I’m stupid? I can’t possibly think you are remotely that slow being as though you’re here to commit a murder in your uniform and didn’t think that far ahead.” I pursed my lips and glared at her only because she was right. I’d already went ahead and did a routine search days ago of the office to check for cameras. The motel was a known spot for prostitution and drug addicts. It was my lucky day when I didn’t find anything.

“Exactly,” she said as if she read my mind. “You’re welcome”

She walked past me and hurried away leaving me stuck. This shit just didn’t make any sense at all.

“Well if you knew I was here to kill them why did you do it?”

“It’s personal, I wanted to be the one to pull the trigger,” she shot over her shoulder and disappeared into the night.

Rubbing my aching head, I tried to process everything. If Trevor thought Pitt and Mar were issues wait until he realized he now had to watch his back. Yvette wasn’t the sweet docile woman he thought of her to be.

  Amena

“Please leave,” I asked, hoping I sounded more confident than what I felt.

The mixed emotions orbiting my chest made it feel like I was claustrophobic in a room with no windows rather than outside my house door. My hands trembled as I fidgeted to get my keys to enter my home. Feeling his solid frame pressed against mine caused me to freeze. I closed my eyes tightly and finally inhaled all the air I could before I passed out thinking the less I breathe would make butterflies dancing in my stomach die off.

However, the longer he stood behind me, with his member pressing against the top of my ass all logic faded, bleeding into pure, heated desire and need.

“Wesley… please… just go,” I stammered once I forced myself to suck in a deep breath of air.

I allowed him to take the key from my hand and he unlocked the door for me gently guiding me into my home. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I spun around on my heels and gazed into his eyes that were scanning me in an unusual way.

It had me so nervous my fingers were toying with the fabric of my dress.

  “You were with another man?”

“Why does it matter?” I fiddled with the Tiffany’s bracelet he gifted me last year for my birthday. “ You’re about to have a baby with another woman, correct? Your concern should be about your child and her, not me.” I spewed out the words so fast and hard hoping it would come out sounding somewhat believable.

Wesley released a sinister chuckle as he closed in on me sending goosebumps to cover my exposed skin. I shifted in my stance almost afraid to break away from the vicious gleam of jealousy that shone in his eyes.

  It served him right!

Face to face with me he lifted his hand and ran it over my shoulder sliding the strap that held it up down my arm. He did the same to the other, making the dress fall to my waist as my breast sat up freely.

As his finger tips delicately skimmed my soft skin, my heart kicked up a ruckus in my chest, mixing fear and excitement with my blood.

His hands journeyed from my waist until he found the mounds of my breasts and massaged them crashing his lips violently against my lips.

In a deep lip lock, Wesley rid me of my clothes until I was naked and laid me on my sectional in my living room; my chest rising and falling in anticipation. Held hostage by his gaze, I sucked in a sharp breath as I felt his hand rubbing against my core. He licked his lips when he pushed his finger inside of me and felt ho
w my essence coated it.

Withdrawing his finger, his hands then went to his button on his jeans where he unsnapped it and causing them to loosen. Wesley pushed them down a bit and then stepped out of them before he settled his body over mine. With his legs he parted mine and then pushed at my opening causing pleasure to roll through my body.

This was what I’ve been waiting for.

  All these months.

“Oh… uh… shit, shit, shit….” I hissed trying to keep my legs open as he impaled me with his length. It was the sweetest kind of pain I ever experienced.

As he cupped the back of my neck, he pressed soft kisses to my lips and delivered long, hard strokes to my center.

“Yeah, so who pussy is this?” he grunted.

My back arched up off my couch, as my nails dug into his taut muscles encasing his shoulder blades.

“Yours, Wes!... ugh!” My legs quivered as a flurry of sensations erupted from my stomach and spread warmth between my legs. Wesley picked up the pace, until his dick was jerking inside of me. Once the throb decreased, he fell into me burying his face in my neck.

“What is it that you want from me? Tell me and I will give you whatever you want.”

I opened my mouth to speak, but my words failed me because I was at a loss for words at how I should answer.

When I didn’t respond, he leaned up and kissed my lips, bringing me back to life.

“I want you,” I suddenly burst out in a nervous rapid-fire response.

A soft smirk lifted one side of his lips as he gazed down at me while I felt like shit for even having to admit that. I wanted Wesley. That never changed even if I went on a date with Trey.

“Then you got me. I promise. Let me figure this baby situation out and then it will be me and you,” he finally replied sealing my wish with a kiss.

  Trevor

Cloak stepped into the foyer of my home and just stared at me which pulled a weird expression from my face.

  “Say something goddammit!”

Her eyes moved from side to side as she opened her mouth to speak but snatched her hat off her head, running her fingers through her golden locks. She was killing me because I wanted to know if she got the job done, yet she was here stalling and looking like she’d seen a ghost.

  “Where’s Yvette?” she finally asked.

I shrugged. “I don’t fucking know. She said she went to go get a bottle of wine.”

She laughed in a sick way that had me ready to kick her deranged ass out. “Is that what she told you? Damn she’s good. Real good.”

“Say what the hell you gotta say or get the hell out,” I told her.

“While I was sitting outside waiting for the perfect moment to go kill Pitt you would never guess who I saw creeping in their room. When I went upstairs to go check it out, both of them had holes in their chest and Yvette was there with a gun in her hand.”

I stared at her in disbelief. I never knew Yvette had the heart to do anything like that, but I didn’t want Cloak to get the impression that I didn’t have anything under control. This was definitely news though.

  “Did anyone see her?”

  “No.”

  “Cameras?”

“That was already taken care of.”

I shrugged. “Well good. We don’t have anything to worry about. Well… I don’t. You do. You owe me some bread.”

“Huh!” she yelped. “You paid me to kill Pitt.”

“And did you do it?” I tilted my head to the side with my eyebrows raised. “You haven’t given me shit but pictures taken by someone else. I’m not paying you to fuck around and get high.”

Her mouth opened and then formed into a thin straight line. “Either way it’s done. Matter fact,” she stated chortling. She placed her hands on her nonexistent hips. “This shouldn’t be the topic of discussion. You now have another problem on your hands. You think you have that woman wrapped around your fingers; well you need to think otherwise. She’s a liability, especially since she’s making sloppy moves like that.”

She was right and that for one pissed me off. I didn’t like anyone telling me what to do and I surely ain’t like that I have to find out things after it happened. Granted, Pitt was dead, but Yvette pulling the trigger added more issues to my list. In my head I was now wondering if I had to sleep with one eye open.

“Well, it’s a good thing I pay you good money to make shit like that go away.”

“I can’t make the bitch you fucking go away,” she spat with an eyeroll. “What about this Mar situation? Pitt is gone. You have his wife. What now? My work here should be done, correct?”

“Right now, Mar is the least of my worries. My main goal is to get to the connect. He’s only making money because he’s the only one with pure coke in the city. Once that changes, if he has a problem with it that’s when I will worry about him. I am focused on getting to the connect.”

  “What about his sister?”

“What about her?” I asked back

  “Are you still seeing her?”

“Of course. I gotta have fun while I’m doing this shit.” I licked my lips anticipating the day I spread those thick legs apart and fucked the shit out of her. “I tried to get to her place tonight, but she wouldn’t budge. So, I need you to follow her. I want to know where she lives. I need to know if I can get in, who her friends are, the whole nine.”

“If you couldn’t get her address, what makes you think I can?”

“Are you high?” I snapped. “Sometimes I wonder how you’re still a police officer.” I shook my head

Just as I said that, the front door opened, and Yvette stepped in locking eyes with Cloak before she looked my way.

“Let me get going,” Cloak sighed walking past Yvette to the door.

She released a deep breath and headed towards the kitchen with a Wine and Spirit bag in her hand.

“I know she said something,” Yvette said over her shoulder.

  “Mind explaining?”

Yvette stopped walking and pivoted on her heel. "I did what you wanted to do. Better yet, I did what you paid that incompetent bitch to do. Say thank you.”

I quickly closed in the space between us and gripped her up by her hair pulling so hard she winced in pain because I was pulling from the scalp. With her hair entangled in my hand, I pulled her head back so she could look me in my face. The bottle that was in the bag fell to the floor and shattered at her feet. This bitch had me all kinds of fucked up.

“That adrenaline rush got you feeling yourself but let me remind you I’m not the one to play with. You forgot it was me bussing my gun because your husband was too much of a bitch to do it himself? You’re one bullet away from going exactly where he is.”

I let her go and she just stood there with her mouth frowning. I could tell Yvette wasn’t about that life. Shit, I’ve known her for years and if she wanted to get rid of someone she could’ve done it herself instead of hire me.

“Why did you do it?” I quizzed.

  “Because he had to go.”

I raised my eyebrows and she sucked her teeth quickly forgetting how I just snatched her ass up real quick.

“Look, I did it for us. Pitt had to go regardless. Had I known you put Cloak on that task I would’ve let it played out. We have no drugs and money is running low. With Pit gone a $500,000 check should be in the mail once the smoke clears,” she stated making me perk up instantly.

  “How?”

The corner of her lips curled up into a devious smile. “I’m not as dumb as you may think I am,” she simply stated leaving me standing by the broken glass.

  Was she playing me?

  Wes

This moment was bittersweet as I laid in Amena’s bed with her head on my chest and her tiny body wrapped around mine. My hands massaged her smooth back as I thought about all the past events from the very first time I caught feelings for Amena up until now. My father's words were playing like a tape recorder in my head. I was about to parent a baby with a woman
I didn’t even love. That shit weighed heavy on my heart for days. All I could think about was that Amena should’ve been the one carrying my first born.

  “What are you thinking about?”

Her sweet voice broke me out of my thoughts. Pushing her curly hair from in front of her face, I kissed her forehead.

“Was wondering when you were going to get the hell up. You got slobber all over my chest,” I joked, and she giggled tapping me on my chest.

Amena was knocked the hell out, but I didn’t mind it all. Even if it was only for the moment, this was exactly how I envisioned my life with her.

It took me some time to come to grips with it, but I loved Amena and planned on saying fuck it and make the shit official but having a baby on the way complicated everything. I knew it was only right for me to get shit straight with Kesha and our unborn child before I moved on romantically with someone else.

  “What time is it?”

Reaching over to the left of me, I lifted my phone off her night stand. On the screen were a whole line up of notifications from Kesha that I didn’t know I had. Amena had to have seen it because she sucked her teeth and tried to move from off me, but I held her in place with my arm and cleared my screen so I could see the time.

“Let me guess, it’s time for you to go?” she questioned me.

“Nah, who said that? I’m here with you, right? Chill out.”

Amena sucked her teeth. “For now.”

Taking the covers off of her. She swung her feet off the bed and stood up. I watched her naked body glide towards the conjoined bathroom. I placed my phone back down and followed her inside.

Once inside of the bathroom, I pulled her body close to me from behind and kissed the back of her neck. “Why are you making shit difficult for me, Meen? I finally gave in and gave you some good dick. There’s no way on earth you should be walking around with an attitude. You should be on cloud nine.”

“Cloud nine meaning a fantasy?” she questioned me cocking her head to the side. “Yes, I feel good. I feel great, actually, but it doesn’t mean the moment you walk out that door things will change between us. I’m still going to be Amare’s little sister who you’re sneaking around with while you’re about to have a public family with a woman you claim you don’t want,” she shot back at me taking her body from out of my embrace. “At least, that’s what you tell me.”
